As we grow as a unit, we want to provide more and different opportunities for the Cadets of Black Eagles Squadron to have a wide variety of experiences.  In order to do this we are starting to have some focused fundraisers that can turn into yearly events.  We don’t want to take for granted the families, businesses and institutions that have helped and continue to help us reach our goals.

In 2015 we found out first home for the Black Eagles Squadron at the Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport.  They graciously allowed us to use a number of spaces that had been vacant.

This space was great for so many  reasons, not the least of which is interacting with military pilots as they fly in and out of Gateway.

On more than one occasion pilots have taken us out to their planes to look around, ask questions, and take pictures.  One visit included a surprise visit from an active duty plane from our namesake the Black Eagle Squadron (VAW-113) based off the USS Carl Vinson.

We are grateful for the Airport Authority, Gateway Aviation Services building, and the 5 area Mayors that provided this space for us.

Move to American Leadership Academy

January of 2018, we were no longer able to keep the space at the airport and had to locate to a new home.  Thanks to the partnership we have developed with American Leadership Academy, we now have a new home and place to have our monthly drills.

Veterans of Foreign Wars – Dode Morris Post 1760

Our steadfast partner since our creation has been the Mesa VFW Post 1760 and their Youth Liason –  Mr. Dan Wilson.  Without their support of our programs we would not be able to do many of the activities we participate in today.   We are also grateful for their assistance with the initial creation of this website as well as our custom e-mail addresses.
